MIKE WELLS - DIRECTOR


Mike has lived and worked in Brighton for 30 years. With over 150 shows to his credit he is a very experienced Director of both amateur and professional works. He has directed opera, musicals, and many plays including new work by local writers.


He has worked in Brighton's Dome, The Congress Theatre in Eastbourne, The Hawth at Crawley and other venues in Brighton and Worthing.


His productions include works by Stoppard, Chekhov and Shakespeare, 'Amadeus', 'Shadowlands', '84 Charing Cross Road', 'Our Country's Good', 'Hayfever', 'Stevie' most of the works of Rodgers and Hammerstein, 'Chess' and Verdi's 'Otello'.


He stongly believes in the importance of recognising new talent.
